Introduction

The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine includes 9 research groups headed by senior Tel Aviv University staff members.

Our research laboratories are located on the third and fourth floors of the Sackler building at the campus of Tel Aviv University. Members of the Department are actively involved in research focused on the investigation of molecular and cellular regulatory elements involved in controlling cell growth and tissue development in health and diseases such as cancer, AIDS, allergy or abnormal embryonic development. Courses given by the Department include courses on basic and advanced cell and developmental biology, human histology and embryology to undergraduate and graduate students.

Further details on the specific research projects performed in each of the research groups are provided in a more detailed Web page of each researcher.
