External observation of the eye

Clerkship for 5th academic year
The goal of the course is to teach the medical students the fundamentals of Ophthalmology and get focused on the wide relation between the eye and many systemic diseases, neurology diseases and pediatric diseases. The student participates actively in the examination of the patients, practices essential eye examination and take part in the department's seminars, lectures and clinical rounds. At the end of the two weeks of clerkship the students have to pass an oral examination

Post Graduate School course
A four year course program is on going in Ophthalmology.
The program covers the whole aspects of ophthalmology from basic science aspects to clinical applied state of the art.
Eight semesters cover the following subjects: oculoplastic, cornea and anterior segment diseases, lens and glaucoma, retina, pediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology.
The course is oriented to teach residents in ophthalmology and update board certified eye doctors in all fields of ophthalmology.
Time and location: Every Tuesday, 18.00 - 21.00 during the academic year with exception of holidays, in the Lola lecture hall at the Sackler School of Medicine.
