Teaching
The staff of The Department of Diagnostic Imaging, participate in the teaching of preclinical and clinical specialties in interdisciplinary courses for 1st 3rd 4th 5th and 6th year medicine students. In the preclinical years during the Anatomy course, the Teaching of Diagnostic Imaging is an aid to better understanding of living anatomy, as well as the first exposure to the importance and relevance of imaging in daily medical practice. Third and fourth year students study imaging in the courses of Body Systems. The Teaching includes the most modern imaging modalities such as Computed Tomography, with Spiral CT and fast reconstruction, ultrasound and the various branches of Nuclear Medicine with its new techniques. In addition, students are introduced to Magnetic Resonance Imaging and the excellent invention; M.R.I. guided procedures that opens a new horizon in the area of imaging and Surgery All these new modalities are taught without neglecting the old and well established radiology. During their clinical clerkships, students attend lectures, as well as day by day informal teaching by means of daily conferences and ward rounds with clinicians and radiologists.
School of Continuing Medical Education
Two Post Graduate courses for residents are available: The courses are for three year, four hours a week: the topics are Diagnostic Imaging and Nuclear medicine.
Sceintific Meetings for Radiologists
Sceintific Meetings for radiologists take place three times a year for radiologists in the affiliated departments organized by six medical centers: Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv Elias Sourasky Medical Center, Rabin Medical Center, Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, Sapir Medical Center and Wolfson Medical Center.
Seminars are being held by all teaching department throughout the year.
