Introduction

The field of Intensive Care and Anesthesiology provides the academic environment necessary to promote skill and knowlege in Israel.

It does so through :

1. Clinical services provided in the affiliated hospitals and clinics;
2. Research accomplished in the laboratories located at the Sackler Medical School and/or the affiliated Hospitals & Clinics,
3. Teaching the field of Intensive Care and Anesthesiology, both at the graduate and post graduate level.

Researchers in our Department collaborate extensively with each other as well as with members of others departments (pre-clinical and clinical) in the Medical School and with colleagues in Israel and abroad. Many of the research projects are funded by outside agencies.

Current investigations and topics of special interest to the faculty of the department are described briefly in this research directory. References to representative publications are included.
