Unit for Medical Education
Head: Alla Bronstein
Objectives:
To improve the training of the student physician and other health professionals in the various teaching programs in the faculty.
To acquaint the faculty members with new trends in medical education in order to implement modern education concepts in the teaching programs.
The Unit of Medical Education provides services to all branches of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine:
- School of Medicine;
- School of Continuing Medical Education;
- School of Dental Medicine;
The Health Professions
- The New York - American Program.
The services provided by the unit embrace four principal areas:
- Teacher training programs and updates to all departments by means of workshops and individual counseling.
- Assessment of curriculum, courses and students. The ongoing assessment is given along with special statistical programs, developed by the Unit, and are widely used on a national level in the health professions.
- Periodical data reports, to the Dean and Academic Committee, to assist the decisions reading education issues.
- Research studies relevant to problems in medical education in the country.
