Psychotherapy Program
The Psychotherapy program offers a three-year training program leading to a Diploma in Psychotherapy, and advanced studies for graduates of the program and faculty.
Curriculum
A. Basic training leading to a Diploma in Psychotherapy
1. Theoretical courses (required and elective)
- Basic Concepts
- Theoreticians
- Technique and Practice
- Childhood and Development
2. Individual and Group Supervision
A dissertation is required.
Admission Requirements: Open to M.D. Residents in Psychiatry, psychiatrists, psychologists with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology andat least one year experience in the mental health field, and social workers with an M.S.W. and at least 3 years experience in the mental health field.
Candidates must have undergone personal psychotherapy prior to admission
Recommendations are required; candidates have two interviews in the process of admission.
B. Advanced Studies:
Four-year course in the following subject:
Self Psychology
Two-year courses in the following subjects:
- Intersubjective Perspective in Psychotherapy
- Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with Children
- Primitive Mental States
One-year course in the following subject:
Psychoanalytic Approach in Group Psychotherapy
